DVS Korea finds its roots in the multi
media business unit of Hyundai Electronics, Korea.
In 1998, this division was taken over by DVS Inc
USA and renamed DVS Korea. Combining the loader
expertise of the multi-media unit of Hyundai Electronics
and the MPEG chip expertise of DVS Inc, DVS Korea
emerged as an immediate world leader in DVD drives
and optical storage devices. DVS Korea went public
and was registered on KOSDAQ in 2002. On December
28, 2005, Korea Technology Investment Corporation
(KTIC), one of the leading venture capital companies
in Korea, bought out all the shares of DVS Korea
that were held by DVS Inc.
Now, DVS Korea aims to be a world leader of the
DVD market in technology and quality. In addition,
DVS Korea is applying its expertise in DVD loader
technology and system design to bring end user
products to market in vehicle telematics and infotainment
